BABY DEDICATIONS

We are so stoked about the children God has blessed our Anchor Church family with. There is no greater treasure that you could receive, and no greater responsibility that you could assume! As followers of Jesus, we understand that raising our children God’s way involves personal devotion and complete trust in God. In fact, God created each person with a unique plan in mind.

Baby dedication is a decision made by the parent(s) and not by the child himself. Therefore, Baby Dedication is a way for parent(s) to commit to God to train, teach, and be godly examples for their kids, as well as to show trust in God and thankfulness for His gift.

As a Parent, I promise to do the following:

• I will make and keep Jesus Christ the Foundation of our home.
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have –Jesus Christ. – 1 Corinthians 3:11

• I will do my best to keep God’s Word.
Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. – Deuteronomy 5:29

• I will fight for my family.
Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” – Nehemiah 4:14

• I will love my family unconditionally.
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave us hi life for her… – Ephesians 5:25

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. – 1 Corinthians 13:4 –7

• I will teach my children about God’s ways.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord. – Ephesians 6:4
