“If I had clean clothes, I think people would treat me like a human being.”
Anchor Church is committed to caring for the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people in Kaneohe, and one of the ways we’re doing that is by simply paying to do their laundry. We are partnering with a local non-profit, ONEninetynine Initiative, and the national organization Laundry Love to build relationships with and care for people and to give them dignity in our local community. These three organizations believe that through the neutral space of a laundromat, every guest and stranger can become a friend.
It’s simple: we meet people, pay for their laundry, eat some snacks, and get to know each other. Building relationships with God’s people is primary. It’s the simplest thing with the greatest reward. Come join us!
