Here at Anchor Church we perform baby dedications rather than infant water baptisms. The reason being we believe water baptism is reserved for those who have chosen to dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ believing that their salvation comes through him. Therefore, we perform dedications rather than baptisms for children who are too young to actually choose Jesus as their savior. Baby dedication is a biblical practice where we see parents bless their child, and also commit themselves to raising their child with godly guidance and wisdom.
Congratulations on choosing to dedicate your child to the Lord! We’re delighted that you would allow us to be a part of this important decision. If you would like to dedicate your child at the beach, we have Ohana Beach Days throughout the year or join us at our Summer Ohana Nights, July 13 at our Po’okela campus courtyard. Or, please fill out the form below so we can help schedule your dedication during a weekend service. If you have loved ones outside of Hawaii, our 9am Poʻokela service is streamed online so your friends and family can share in your dedication! Once we have received the form, someone will contact you confirming your date, service and pastor.
